Before you select among our 8500 student housing units, you need to select your profile. Are you living alone, as a couple or with your family? We usually have vacancies in our largest student villages throughout the year. However a lot of our applicants want to move in from August to October, so you might want to avoid this period if possible.

Make sure you apply as early as possible, as the housing units are offered according to the ‘first come first serve’ principle. You don’t have to wait until you are admitted to an educational institution in order to apply for housing.

If you apply for an unspecified type of housing, your chances will improve significantly. If you wish to, you may apply to move to another of our housing units at a later time.

It is hard to say exactly how long it will be before you get an offer. This is determined by factors such as when you applied and whether students with priority are applying for the same housing units as you. Check your email regularly, as this is where you will be notified.

If you wish to, you can make changes to your application while it is active. You may add or remove housing units, reprioritise your selection of housing units and change your moving in date. This will not affect your position in the queue.

When you are offered a tenancy contract, you need to sign and upload it here within 7 days. If you didn’t get the housing you were hoping for, you may apply for an internal move as a prioritised applicant after you have moved in.

Your contract applies for a type of housing, not one specific unit. You will not know exactly which single room or flat you will be assigned until the day you move in. You can pick up the key to your new home at the SiO Customer Service Centre.

Your tenancy contract is valid for maximum one year, so be sure to apply for a new contract in due time.

You can terminate your contract 2 or 3 months in advance before you wish to move out.

Be sure to familiarise yourself with how to clean properly before you move and how to get your deposit refunded.
