Are you still a student? In order to keep the student discount on your SiO Athletica membership, you need to provide documentation validating your status as a student.

This only applies to members who have been notified by us through e-mail or/and sms in the middle of October.

This documentation can be:

  1. Student identification with valid semester fee to SiO for autumn 2018.
  2. Screenshot of the app “Studentbevis” where name, date of birth, school and semester fee to SiO for autumn 2018 must be visible.
  3. Receipt for paid semester fee to SIO for autumn 2018.
  4. Written confirmation with signature and stamp from your school, stating that you are a student and have paid the semester fee to SiO for autumn 2018.

You can submit your documentation by:

1)  Sending an email to: athletica@sio.no or use the contact form with the documentation attached. The documentation must clearly show your full name, college or university and what semester has been paid for. In the subject field you can write “SEMESTER FEE”,

or

2)  Come to one of our receptions and submit the documentation there. The documentation must clearly show your full name, college or university and what semester has been paid for.

3)  If you are on leave from your place of study, please contact us through our contact form or e-mail to athletica@sio.no. Remember to attach valid documentation on your leave. Please name the e-mail “SEMESTER FEE”.

The deadline for submitting documentation is: October 31st, 2018.

If we do not receive any documentation within in the deadline, your membership will be changed to a non-student membership and you will also be charged the difference between the student price and the non-student price. This is in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

Q&A:

Why do I have to show student identification?
Answer: in order for you to keep your student discount at SiO Athletica, we need to register your valid student identification.

 What do I have to show to prove that I am a student?
Answer: As a student you have to show proof of payment of the semester fee to SiO, and that you are registered as a student at your place of study for the autumn term of 2018.

Doesn’t my place of study provide you with information about my student status?
Answer: We only receive updated information on students from SiO affiliated schools. If you are a student at a SiO affiliated school, and your information is not updated in our system, you have to contact your school and ask them for documentation that you are a student and have paid the semester fee for autumn 2018.

What kind of documentation do I need to show?
Answer: We approve the following:

I am no longer a student, what do I do?
Answer: If we do not receive the information needed within the deadline, your membership price will be regulated to the going price for non-students. We will also have to charge the difference between your student discount and the going non-student price. You may also inform us of your non-student status through our contact form or e-mail to athletica@sio.no.  Please name the e-mail “STUDENT PROOF”.

I am a student, but my place of study is not a SiO affiliated school, do I still need to show my student ID?
Answer: Yes, you still have to show your student ID in order to keep your student discount.

When is the deadline to show student ID? 
Answer: The deadline to provide the needed documentation is the 31st of October 2018

I forgot to answer before the deadline, what do I do now?
Answer:  Please contact us through our contact form contact form or e-mail to athletica@sio.no.  Please name the e-mail “STUDENT PROOF”.

I am not able to stop by because I am abroad. How can I then show my student ID?
Answer: Please contact us through our contact form or e-mail to athletica@sio.no with a copy of documentation showing your name, the period for your stay abroad, and the school you are attending. Please name the e-mail “STUDENT PROOF”.
