It's easier to get accommodation in some student villages or -houses than others. Small, central student houses are almost always full, while bigger student villages like Kringsjå or Sogn have a large number of houses and therefore more possibilities.

Particularly studio flats downtown and 3-4 bedroom flats for families are in high demand. If you prefer one of these options, it's a good idea to select several alternatives when you apply – and accept if you receive an offer.

Then you can reapply for the type of accommodation you prefer via the application on My page – and we will comply with your wishes as far as reasonable practical. Internal relocation is not granted in the notice period. You will not be able to move internally during the period 15th of July - 1st of September. If you have a contract for a semester or shorter, you cannot change housing.

Facts about internal moving:

  • You will stay in your current residence while you are on the waiting list. Your tenancy will automatically be terminated and allocated another student when you sign the contract for your new accommodation.
  • When you are allocated new housing, you will have to pay double rent for a few days.
-if the housing you are moving from has 2 months’ notice, you will have to pay double rent for 4 days.
-if the housing you are moving from has 3 months’ notice, you will have to pay double rent for 6 days.
Note that this is the same number of days that you have to be moved out by.
