Would you like to live right in the centre of Oslo? If so, Stensberggata Student House could be the place for you. Here you will get your own room, while kitchens and bathrooms are shared with other students. Stensberggata Student House is located on St.Hanshaugen close to Grünerløkka, Bislett and many educational institutions connected to SiO.


You will find plenty of bus routes in the area and the bus stop for bus 37 is located close to the student house. Bus 37 has frequent departures around the clock and passes through many areas of Oslo. The closest tram station is Holbergs plass.

Stensberggata Student House is spread over 6 floors and has 77 single rooms. The house was fully refurbished in 2004 and partially converted in 2013. You will share the bathroom and kitchen with 3-7 students, but you will have your own sink and fridge in your room. There are both furnished and unfurnished rooms available in Stensberggata Student House.

Housing units

St.Hanshaugen is one of Oslo's most popular residential areas and with good reason. It has a peaceful and local atmosphere despite the fact that it is located in the middle of the city. St.Hanshaugen is close to the city centre, Grünerløkka and Bislett.

You can park your bike in the bicycle parking, which is located in the basement of the student house.

All the rooms in the student house have their own storage room located in the basement. Remember to buy a padlock for the storage room.

The fire alarm systems in the student village are connected directly to the Agency of Fire and Rescue Services. If you cause a false alarm, you will be charged for the fire brigade’s emergency cost. Read more about fire safety here.

The entire student house has automatic fuses. You are responsible for buying lightbulbs for your own room. Please contact us via My page if the lightbulbs in the common areas burn out.
