Housing units

Kringsjå Student Village is located north of the city centre, with Sognsvann and Nordmarka as its closest neighbours. You will be surrounded by excellent hiking opportunities all year around. There is a supermarket located inside the student village. Kindergartens, elementary school and secondary school are also part of the Kringsjå Student Village area.

Our student laundries are located in Olav M. Troviks vei 20, 24, 36 and 62.More info on how to reserve time and pay for your laundry here.

In October 2018 we opend a brand new, large laundry, situated between Olav M. Troviks vei 70 and 72.

You can park your car several places within Kringsjå Student Village. The parking areas are supervised by Q-park. Read more about the parking arrangement here.

There are several bicycle racks in the student village. There are also some baby stroller rooms. Bicycles and baby strollers must be marked with a sticker, which you can pick up at the SiO Customer Service Centre.

Your mailbox is located in the entrance of your building. The supermarket provides postal services, such as sending and receiving packages.

Most housing units have their own storage room, located in the basement. Remember to buy a padlock for the storage room. Some of the housing units have a joint storage room for the tenants. In that case, you will find the key in the common kitchen.

The fire alarm systems in the student village are connected directly to the Agency for Fire and Rescue Services. If you cause a false alarm, you will be charged for the fire brigade’s emergency cost.  Read more about fire safety here.

You must buy and change your own light bulbs in your housing unit. If you share your kitchen or entrance with more than two people, SiO Housing is responsible for changing the light bulbs. Please notify us via My page about bulbs that need to be changed.

If your housing unit has a balcony, please respect your neighbours. This means no barbequing, smoking, storage or carpets being aired from the balcony.
