Kongsvinger Student House is for those who study at the Police Academy in Kongsvinger. The student house has 72 housing units for singles, couples living together or families with children. The student house is located around 90 km outside of Oslo and the train ride to the city is about 1.5 hrs.

The train station is located a 15 min walk from the student house. The bus line TIMEkspressen stops right next to the student house, and leaves for Oslo every hour. There is also a local bus from the centre of Kongsvinger to the Police Academy. The train has frequent departures to Oslo.

The student house was built in 2009 and has single rooms, studio flats, one and two bedroom flats. As a single room resident you will share a kitchen and a bathroom with 4 other students, while the flats all have private kitchens and bathrooms. 

Housing units

The student house is located right in the centre of Kongsvinger with shops and other amenities closeby. The Police Academy is about 3.5 km away.

You can park your bicycle in the bike rack behind the house; there is street parking for cars. If you wish to rent a parking spot please contact Q-Park.

All of the student houses' storage rooms are located in the basement. Some flats have their private storage room while others are sharing. Remember to buy a padlock for the storage room.

The fire alarm systems in the student village are connected directly to the Glåmdal Fire and Rescue Service IKS. If you cause a false alarm, you will be charged for the fire brigade’s emergency cost. Read more about fire safety here.

The whole student house has automatic fuses. Every floor has a fuse box in the corridor. You are responsible for buying lightbulbs for your own housing unit. Please contact us via My page if lightbulbs in the common areas burn out so we can change them.
