Bjerke is located close to the woods of Nordmarka. Public transport has frequent departures to the city centre. There is a grocery shop, an all night petrol station and a shopping centre close by. Bjerke Student House is spread over 15 floors, and has a fantastic view from the top floors.
There are good bus and night bus connections from Bjerke to the centre of Oslo, with several departures every quarter of an hour.
Bjerke Student House has 263 housing units consisting of single rooms, studios and one bedroom flats.
Bjerke is located right next to Nordmarka. There is a grocery shop and petrol station as well as cafés and restaurants in the area.
There is street parking outside of the student house. Municipal parking regulations apply here. You can park your bike in the bicycle room in the basement. Remember to mark your bike and strollers with a sticker, which you can pick up at the SiO Customer Service Centre.
Your mailbox is located on the ground floor of the student house.
All housing units in Bjerke Student House have their own storage room which is located on the same floor as your room or flat. Exceptions are residences on the ground floor, which have storage rooms in the basement. Remember to buy a padlock for the storage room.
The fire alarm systems in the student village are connected directly to the Agency of Fire and Rescue Services. If you cause a false alarm, you will be charged for the fire brigade’s emergency cost. Read more about fire safety here.
Bjerke Student House is equipped with automatic fuses. The fuse boxes are located by the storage rooms on each floor. You must buy your own lightbulbs for your own residence. Lightbulbs in common areas are replaced by us. Contact us on My page if you notice burnt out lightbulbs in the common areas.
