We rent out cross-country skis at Athletica Kringsjå. Ski rental is both for Athletica members and non-members.

N.B: Due to the Athletica gyms being temporarily closed, the ski rental at Athletica Kringsjå is now also closed. We have delayed the return date of the skis to April 27th for all customers who have rented skis from us.

Prices for ski rental Athletica members:
1 month: NOK 500
The whole season: NOK 700

Prices for ski rental non-members:
1 month: NOK 700
The whole season: NOK 900 

Terms of agreement:
Skis that are rented for the whole season have to be returned by April 27th. If the equipment is not returned by the agreed time, you will be charged NOK 500. The equipment must ble cleaned before you return it. Lost or damaged equipment must be economically replaced according to following rates: Ski poles NOK 200, ski boots NOK 500 and skis NOK 700.

 



WHERE TO GO CROSS COUNTRY SKIING?

Ski trip 1: Frognerseteren – Skjennungstua – Frognerseteren
Take the underground line 1 to Frognerseteren station

The ski trail starts right next to the underground station. Follow the signs towards Skjennungstua. At Skjennungstua you can warm up before heading back, and also buy snacks and hot drinks.

The length of the trip: ca 12 km

Ski trip 2: Frognerseteren – Ullevålseter – Sognsvann
Start: Underground line 1, from Majorstuen to Frognerseteren station.
Return: Underground line 6 from Sognsvann 

This alternative is perfect if you want to go a bit further than ski trip 1. Follow the signs to Skjennungstua, and from there follow the trails towards Ullevålseter. You can take a break and buy snacks and hot drinks at Ullevålseter, before continuing on towards Sognsvann. From Sognsvann you can take the underground back to the city centre.

The length of the trip: ca 15 km

Ski trip 3: Frognerseteren – Kikutstua – Bjørnholt – Sognsvann
Start: Underground line 1 to Frognerseteren
Return: Underground line 6 from Sognsvann

This trip is slightly longer, so you may want to pack some food or money. The ski trail starts right next to Frognerseteren underground station. Follow the signs towards Tryvann – Kobberhaughytta and Kikut. At Kikut you can warm up and buy snacks and hot drinks. When you start your return from Kikut, you can cross Bjørnsjøen towards south and the end of the lake and the Bjørnholt farm. Follow the south east bound trail towards Rottungen. From here, head south to Skjærsjøen and then towards Sognsvann. From Sognsvann you can take the underground back to the city centre.

The length of the trip: ca 26 km
