This is how you should clean your flat before moving.

Kitchen and living room

  • The kitchen cabinets must be cleaned properly both inside and outside. Also clean the space between the wall cabinets and the worktop.
  • The sink must be cleaned with a scrubbing brush.
  • The oven must be cleaned by using detergent for ovens. Do not forget the plates.
  • Remove the oven and clean on the back and on the sides.
  • The fridge and freezer must be cleaned properly by using a detergent. Remove them both and clean properly on the side and on the back.
  • The kitchen ventilator must be cleaned by removing and cleaning the filter and cleaning the rest by using a grease removing detergent. Put the clean filter back in.
  • Cabinets, shelves and window frames must be cleaned.
  • Furniture must be cleaned or vacuumed.
  • Remove the furniture and clean the baseboards and the floor.
  • Clean the windows.
  • Clean stains on the wall, if any.


  • Clean the walls and the floor in the shower by using a detergent for bathrooms.
  • Cabinets and shelves must be cleaned both inside and outside.
  • Clean the mirror and on top of the light fixtures.
  • The sink must be cleaned thoroughly on top and underneath.
  • The toilet must be cleaned both inside and outside. Do not forget the pipes.
  • The shower curtain must be washed at 60 degrees in the washing machine.


  • Clean the windows, doors, all door frames and any stains on the wall.
  • The wardrobe must be cleaned inside and outside.
  • Remove the furniture and clean the floor and baseboards.
  • Clean the cover sheet at a minimum of 60 degrees, and the top mattress at 40 degrees. Do not tumble-dry the top mattress.
