This is how you should clean your room before moving.

  • Clean the wardrobe, shelves and the window sill.
  • Furniture must ble cleaned and/or vaccumed.
  • Move the furniture and clean the floor and baseboards.
  • Clean the window.
  • Removed any stains on the wall.
  • Clean the cover sheet at a minimum of 60 degrees, and the top mattress at 40 degrees. The top mattress must not be tumble-dried.

If you share the bathroom with your neighbor, come to an agreement concerning what to clean before moving out. If you are moving out at the same time, or you have your own bathroom, there are a few things to note:

  • Clean the walls and floor in the shower by using detergent for bathrooms.
  • Cabinets and shelves must be cleaned both inside and outside.
  • Clean the mirror and on top of the light fixtures.
  • The sink must be cleaned thoroughly on top and underneath.
  • The toilet must be cleaned both inside and outside. Do not forget the pipes.
  • The door, as well as the door frame and light switches must be cleaned.

If you share a kitchen with one or more, come to an agreement with your neighbors about what each of you shall clean when moving out. Whether you share a kitchen with others or you have your private kitchen you must:

  • Clean your kitchen cabinets.
  • Clean the fridge and freezer thoroughly with detergent.
  • Pull out appliances and clean behind and on sides where this is possible.
