Moving out? We have made a list of things you must remember to clear and clean before moving out.

Clear
Remember to clear all your belongings before moving out. Your room must be clear and tidy and must be up to the same standard it was when you moved in. Remember to clear:

  • Kitchen: kitchen cabinet, refrigerator and freezer.
  • Batroom
  • Wardrobe
  • Storage room and common storage room. Don´t forget your bike!

Remember that it is not allowed to leave your furniture in the room or in common areas.

Clean

  • Clean the floor and baseboards, ceiling, walls, light switches and doors
  • Clean the wardrobe (innside and outside) and shelves
  • Clean the windows, window sill, curtain rod and blinds. If the window can be opened inwards or cleaned from the balcony, both sides must be cleaned.
  • Clean the cover on the top mattress at 40 degrees. The top mattress must not be tumble-dried. In order for the cover on the top mattress to dry in time, it should be washed a few days before you move out, as it can't be dried in the tumble-drier.

Bathroom

  • Clean the floor and baseboards, ceiling, walls, light switches and doors
  • Clean cabinets (innside and outside) and shelves
  • Clean the shower and taps
  • The toilet must be cleaned both inside and outside. Do not forget the pipes.
  • Clean the washbasin, both on the top and bottom
  • Clean mirror and om top of the light fixtures
  • Clean the drain

Kitchen

  • Clean the floor and baseboards, ceiling, walls, light switches and doors
  • Clean kitchen cabinets and shelves, inside and outside
  • Clean between the cabinets and the kictchen counter
  • Clean the refrigerator and freezer
  • Clean the stove, exterior and interior. Remember plates and grate
  • Clean kitchen fan
  • Clean the windows, window sill, curtain rod and blinds. If the window can be opened inwards or cleaned from the balcony, both sides must be cleaned.

Storage room

  • If you have a storage room, clear it out and clean it by vacuuming or sweep the floor.
