In addition to general information, the SiO Centre also provides other services. The centre is a Student Housing reception for about half the housing units, and you can obtain your student card for the University of Oslo and some other schools (se below) here.

You may also get assistance to use “My page” on www.sio.no, and filling in various forms, and you can purchase your Public Transport Card. We have a café where you can sit down with a nice cup of coffee and surf the net via our free wireless LAN - or just have a nice chat with fellow students.

Student/ employee cards
The SiO Centre produces student cards for some of the learning institutions associated with SiO. This is the University of Oslo, the Norwegian Academy of Music and the Norwegian School of Theology.  We also produce employee cards for SiO and UiO.

To obtain your student card you must have received your semester card (receipt for paid semester fee) beforehand. You have to meet personally at the SiO Centre, and bring your semester card and valid ID. We will take your picture at the centre.

There is always room for improvement of the card and the procedures for the various functions of the card. Please let us know if you have any feedback regarding this!

As a Student Housing reception, the SiO Centre provides a range of services to Student House’s tenants. This goes for tenants at all student houses/ - villages except from Kringsjå, Sogn and Fjellbirkeland Student Villages, as well as Sognsveien 102, who should contact the reception at
