As a student with your personal GP at SiO we will refund all health expenses exceeding NOK 200 a year.

What expenses does SiO cover?
SiO covers all health expenses exceeding NOK 200 and up to the deductible for health exemption card a year.

• Deductible at your GP
• Deductible in connection with psychology treatment
• Deductibles when buying blue prescription medicine
• Deductible in connection with x-ray taken at x-ray institutes and examiniations at specialists e.g. at off. hospitals

The deductible beyond the exemption card limit will be covered by HELFO.

Expenses not covered by SiO:
Utensils used in connection with some examiniations/treatments, expenses for sending by post and expenses for travelling vaccines are not covered by SiO.

 

When can I apply?

You can only apply for a refund one time each semester or apply for a full year no later than the 31st of January the following year. Apply for one semester by the 16th of July or 31st of January the following year.

 

When will I get the refund?

If you apply for a refund of your health expenses paid through the year 2013 within the 31st of January 2014, you will receive your refund in your bank account within the spring semester 2014.
You will receive your refund in your bank account in August 2013 for user fees incurred during the spring semester 2013.
