Kringsjå Student Village was built in the late 1960’ies. It is situated next door to the The Norwegian School of Sport Sciences and lake Sognsvann. All houses is in the street Olav M. Troviksvei (OMT).
Fjellbirkeland Student Village was built in 1990. The village has eight houses where two persons share kitchen and bathroom. One of the houses is reserved for families. There are joint facilities for the two villages.

Your mail box is located in post room next door to the grocery store Kiwi. Inside Kiwi there are postal services.
Laundry rooms
Storage room
In Kringsjå your storage room is in the cellar in your building. You are personally responsible for obtaining a padlock. Some flats have a common storage room. Ask your neighbours for the key.
In Fjellbirkeland your storage room in located on your living floor, except room no. H0102 where the storage room is on the 2nd floor opposite H0207/0208. The storage room for H0113 and H0114 is on the 3rd floor, opposite H0307/H0308. You must bring your own padlock.
Parking
There are several parking places in the villages. You must buy a parking permit at the SiO Centre.
Bicycle parking/baby stroller storage
There are several outside bicycle racks in the villages. There are also inside bicycle rooms in OMT 24 and 26. Ask at the SiO Centre for access to the room. For tenants in OMT 2 and 4 there is a bicycle room in the cellar of OMT 2.
Bicycles and baby strollers must be labeled with a sticker available at the SiOCentre.
Fire safety
The fire alarm system in OMT 2, 4, 8, 10, 12, 14, 28 and 30 is connected directly to the fire brigade in Oslo (OBRE). If a tenant sets off a false alarm he or she will be invoiced the amount which the fire brigade charges for the emergency.
From the other student houses the tenant must report a fire directly himself, by calling 110. If a tenant sets off a false alarm he or she must call SiO Housing no. 22 18 83 35 to turn off the alarm. He or she will be invoiced the amount if the occurrence is outside ordinary opening hours.
Fuse box and light bulbs
You are responsible for buying fuses and light bulbs to your room, kitchen and entrance/wc. In common kitchens where more than two persons share, SiO Housing is responsible for fuses and light bulbs. Kindly report through My Page if there are dark lamps in the kitchen.
Balcony
It is not allowed to shake and air carpets, cook on a barbecue or smoke at the balcony. It is also not permitted to use the balcony as storage.
