Grünerløkka Student House was originally a silo, being rebuilt into a 19 floor student house in 2001. The student house has 226 residences, mostly studios and one bedrom flats, all of them with water heated radiators.

Laundry room
The laundry room is on the 17th floor.  Booking and payment of laundry

Storage room
There is no storage rooms in the student house. The flats has extra closets for storage.

Parking
Contact the SiO Centre to buy a parking permit for the parking ground by the house. Street parking is also available.  Community parking regulations apply here.

Bicycle parking
There are locked bike stalls in the cellar. Use your key card for entrance.  Bicycles must be labeled with a sticker available at the SiOCentre.

Fire safety
The fire alarm system is connected directly to the fire brigade in Oslo. If a tenant sets off a false alarm he or she will be invoiced the amount which the fire brigade charges for the emergency.

The stairway at the south of the building is an emergency exit only.

Fuse box and light bulbs
The student house has automatic fuses. The fuse box is either placed in the corridor or inside the residence. You are personally responsible for buying light bulbs.

Common room
On the 17th floor you may enjoy the marvellous view over the city. Smoking and having a barbeque is strictly forbidden.
