In Sogn Student Village there is a culture and activity centre called Amatøren (The Amateur). It is run by students for students.

The aim of the Resident Assistants is to ensure a good social environment and to provide the residents with an improved service. Among the services the Resident Assistants provide are giving advice and arbitrating in conflicts. The Resident Assistants have a duty of confidentiality.
