The student house was built in 2006 and is a part of Pilestredet Park who won The National Building Prize 2007. The building has seven floors and 129 flats. All flats have radiators with water heating and a door phone system.

Storage room
Labeled with their room number all flats have their private storage room on the ground floor or in the cellar. Note that you are personally responsible for obtaining a padlock.

Parking
There are a limited number of parking spaces in the cellar. Contact the SiO Centre to buy a parking permit for the parking garage.

Bicycle parking
There is a bike rack in the garage and one in the backyard, towards the park. Bicycles must be labeled with a sticker available at the SiOCentre.

Fire safety
The fire alarm system is connected directly to the fire brigade in Oslo. If a tenant sets off a false alarm he or she will be invoiced the amount which the fire brigade charges for the emergency.

Fuse box and light bulbs
The student village has automatic fuses. You are personally responsible for buying light bulbs to your flat. Kindly report any dark lamps in the common kitchen through My Page.

Common areas
There is a common roof terrace on the 7th floor. The roof terrace can be used for social gathering, though smoking and a barbeque is stricktly forbidden.
